Our Story
Zeleny, Stephen, and their two children, Therese and Jeremiah, have lived in the beautiful Catholic town of Ave Maria, FL, since 2022. Their deep love for the Catholic faith led them to settle there.
Zeleny started Under Her Mantle as a handmade embroidery business, creating Catholic designs with Scripture on hairbows, dresses, and blankets for children. One night, while dressing her one-year-old in Spider-Man pajamas, she wondered, "Why not Divine Mercy or Mother Mary pajamas?" That sparked an idea.
She realized the pajamas needed a deeper purpose—a way to encourage prayer before sleep. While brainstorming with her aunt, the idea of embroidered rosary beads around the wrist was formed—a unique way to integrate the powerful prayer of the rosary into children's bedtime, helping them learn to follow the beads as they drift to sleep.
We pray these prayerful pieces, made with love and devotion, bless your children and loved ones as much as they have blessed us.
Why the Name Under Her Mantle?
While praying, I asked God to help me create something handmade for Him. The next morning, I saw embroidered hairbows and thought, What if I design these with a rosary? As I worked on my first piece, I prayed to Mary, asking her to cover me with her mantle in this journey. Though some suggested veil instead, Under Her Mantle felt more unique—so it stayed.
